President & Chief Executive Officer
Cuong Do, MBA, is a life-sciences executive with more than 35 years of leadership experience. Before BioVie, he was President of Samsung Global Strategy Group and Chief Strategy Officer at Merck, held leadership roles at Lenovo and Tyco Electronics, and spent 17 years as a senior partner at McKinsey & Company. He has founded multiple biotechnology and social-impact organizations.
Executive Vice President, Research & Development and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Joseph Palumbo leads BioVie’s research, clinical development and medical activities. He brings extensive preclinical, translational and global registrational experience from pharmaceutical development programs and has held senior roles spanning neuroscience, psychiatry and drug development.
Chief Financial Officer
Wendy Kim is a financial executive with more than 35 years of experience in accounting, finance and strategic leadership. Her background includes public-company reporting, capital markets, financing, restructuring and M&A, including 22 combined years at BDO and KPMG and service in a national SEC practice.
Senior Vice President, Operations
Clarence Ahlem has more than 30 years of pharmaceutical-development experience across antibody technology, stem-cell purification, drug characterization and product development. His career has included roles at UC San Diego, Hybritech, Systemix and biotechnology development organizations.
Senior Vice President, Liver Disease and Long COVID Programs
Dr. Penelope Markham leads BioVie’s liver-disease and Long COVID programs. She previously led modified-terlipressin development at LAT Pharma and has more than 25 years of experience across cellular immunology, infectious disease, bacteriology, anti-infective discovery and orphan-drug development.
Senior Vice President, Alzheimer’s Disease Program
Dr. Chris Reading trained in biochemistry and cancer biology and has more than 35 years of research and development experience. His career includes MD Anderson Cancer Center, Systemix/Novartis and more than 15 years of work on the NE3107 platform in San Diego.
Chief Regulatory Officer and Senior Vice President
Dr. David Morse has more than 35 years of pharmaceutical-development and regulatory-affairs experience. His background includes senior regulatory roles in contract research, independent consulting, service as an Associate Director at FDA, and translational-medicine laboratory leadership.

Dr. Amy Chappell joined BioVie’s board in 2025. She has served as a biotechnology chief medical officer and spent more than 25 years at Eli Lilly, contributing to multiple FDA approvals. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology.

Kameel Farag joined BioVie’s board in 2025. His senior finance and business-operations experience includes Aspen Neuroscience, Ionis Pharmaceuticals and more than 16 years in international finance roles at Amgen.

Jim Lang is the founder and CEO of EVERSANA and previously led Decision Resources Group and Strategic Decision Group. His career spans global commercialization services, healthcare data, analytics and life-sciences strategy.

Sig Rogich is President of The Rogich Communications Group, a former U.S. Ambassador to Iceland and a longtime communications adviser. He serves with organizations supporting brain-health research and patient care.

Michael Sherman is a retired investment-banking managing director with approximately 30 years of experience, including healthcare-finance transactions for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. He earned his JD, cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
